  • Tri-State Water Rights Litigation (“Water Wars”)

I represent the Lake Lanier Association in the Water Wars litigation.  This litigation involves water rights in the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint (ACF) River Basin among Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.  The Lake Lanier Association’s mission is to preserve both the quantity and level of Lanier’s water for the benefit of all who use the Lake or depend the Lake for their lives and livelihoods.  To learn more about the Association, go to

  • Lake Lanier Dock Permits

I assist property owners and businesses with issues related to the permitting process for docks on Lake Lanier.

  • Lake Sidney Lanier Home Preservation Act of 2000

I shepherded the implementation of this federal law to allow 1,000 property owners  on Lake Lanier to cure public property line encroachments that would otherwise require extensive and costly modifications to or removal of their homes.
